9th December, Tuesday:

Well, its actually 28th November on the day I am typing this post. Haha I know im way behind schedule but I’m still going to try to rush out my posts. Havent really had the time and commitment to type out my blog posts for awhile already. Pardon me if events are not described as clearly, or if there are any mistakes cause I have forgotten some things already.

Today we went to chang cheng at last! Yup the great wall of china. We took a coach again which was great since we could sleep again. I don’t really get much sleep everyday here so the coach ride is great for sleeping. Some people find it interesting to chit chat on the bus but I personally think they are just making a lot of noise. Could type in more detail but I guess I’ll leave that out since I don’t want to flame anyone even if I didn’t mean to. Anyway, after reaching the carpark, we had to trek up to the great wall. Had to climb up a lot of steps but after we got up it was really worth it. Being me of course, I ran up xD Then I kept niaoing nick sim cos he refused to run with me. Along the way we kept reading people wrote on the stones and some of it was really funny. We even found some stones that had words from the previous hwachong batches written on them. There was one that actually counted the number of steps lol. When we reached the cable car area some people wanted to stop there but most of us continued up to reach the top. The top was really cool and we had to climb up this super steep staircase to climb up the last part. We didn’t go further because it the rest of the area was sealed. Haha then everyone was carving their names on the stones so I wrote my name there too with some chalk. Mr Kong went all the way up but stopped at the steep steps cos he is scared of heights. Then everyone was cheering him on although we were niaoing at the same time too xD Kept on calling him humji. And others were giving him incentives too like giving him as many wives as he wanted. Or threatening to tell May(his rumoured girlfriend) that he is such a coward. Lol so after about 15min he finally we KONGvinced him and he went up. Then everyone started cheering. I remember one of them was like this:

After that we went back to the cable car building and took a cable car back down. Wang Yue said theres a said but I didn’t see any o.0 Slide down?? I think she must have been joking probably.. Anyway, on the way down the cable car trip was quite short but definitely not short on scenery. Had a great wide angle view of the great wall and the forest all around it. It is really quite amazing to think that the Qin Dynasty managed to build such a long and big wall with primitive technology.

After coming down we took the coach again and went to a temple. Can’t really remember the names of the temple but it had something to do with it being a bamboo temple. This temple is special because it has a whole bamboo forest inside. One of the Emperors of China ordered that the bamboo forest should be preserved so up till now the forest has still been preserved. It seems kind of out of place but nice too as there are no other places where you can see so much bamboo. Bamboo is very thin so from any point u can see a long distance through the forest because there few leaves to block your line of sight. Went in to view all the prayer halls and there was a very big tree there which had branches all over the place. Its supposed to symbolized something but I think I wasn’t really paying attention at that point of time so didn’t really catch that :p

8th December, Monday

I have been in beijing for one week already!!

8th December, Monday:

Today was a really long day. Left at 7.30am and only returned at 11pm.

Went to the eco-city at tianjin. In case anyone doesn’t know, the eco-city is collaboration between Singapore and China to build a city which is entirely eco-friendly and helps the environment instead of damaging it. Its still in the construction stage for now but my only comment is that it still has a long long long way to go before reaching eco-friendly status =.= Lol the air there is so hazy u can barely see beyond 50 or 100 metres. We took a chartered us for the first time there which took 3 hours to reach the eco-city…or rather..the exhibition hall because the city isn’t built yet. The design looks nice and with all the measures they are taking it seems like it will really make a difference. But as I mentioned earlier, they really have a long way to go. The air is unbelievably polluted but maybe that is because the air is still today. Even in Beijing the air quality was just as bad. The smell of smoke and haze is evident and obviously that sucks.

After that we went for lunch. Lunch and dinner today in tianjin are sponsored by some guy from Keppel corp so we had a great lunch. I sadly didn’t get to finish it though because we were in a rush. I declared it my best meal in Beijing though :D rushed off to nan kai zhong xue, a school in tianjin that hwachong has some affiliations with because we hosted them a number of times in my school. Nan kai zhong xue really has quite a rich history. It was the former school of zhou en lai and wen jia bao and we had a tour of the place where we even got to see the room and bed where zhou en lai slept in. Lol I was asking my friends why they didn’t seal off the toilet too and say wen jia bao did his business in there before xD

We went to some culture street after that and many people bought paintings of there own names, school names and other stuff. Didn’t get any cause I thought it was quite a waste. I just know its going to become a white elephant in my house after I buy it.

We had dinner at another restaurant after that and the food was REALLY GREAT AGAIN. And guess what. I declared it my best meal kin Beijing again! Yeah it was even better than lunch. Today will be such a memorable day. Its not everyday where you get to eat 2 best meals in one day xD Felt extremely full after that but also very happy and satisfied because I ate so much. 5 bowls of rice :p Even more than sean who was trying to eat more than me but only succeeded in taking 3 bowls.

Then we had a long bus trip all the way back to our hostel which took 3 hours. Had a great sleep xD

Btw I am SUPPOSED to be studying English now because its my wanzixi (night study session) now. But…I’m blogging in English after all…So I guess it counts huh?

7th December, Sunday

7th December, Sunday: We had the whole day free today cause its sunday. In Beijing we are given the weekends to do anything we want if we aren’t any trips planned for us. We went to xiu shui jie where we could get all the cheap stuff and then after that went to xi dan which is more of the malls but quality tends to be better. Bought lots and lots of stuff. I don’t think I ever bought so many things at one go before but I really couldn’t resist the temptation. Stuff here are really much cheaper :D

In xiu shui jie I bought a pair of shoes…my second pair I bought since coming here. Then after that bought 2 pairs of pants, had lunch, and headed off to xi dan. Sounds like it was quite fast but actually it took rather long as there were many many choices and I had to chose properly. Bargaining takes time too. Sometimes the prices they offer are really exorbitant and you can slash the price more than 50% at times.

At xi dan we went to one of the shopping centres which has quite nice stuff. Unfortunately most of the things there are more expensive so had to be more discerning. In the end I bought a wallet cause mine just tore yesterday :( and also a sling bag for my brother.

Spent a total of about 240 yuan shopping xD I thought girls were good at shopping but you know what? I think I’m better :p

Went back to the hostel and since we are also allowed to leave our laptops with us during weekends, I played Counter Strike till midnight. Dota doesn’t really work well cause the connection isn’t very stable and keeps disconnecting halfway. For CS its easy to rejoin but for dota I have to remake the whole game so we aren’t playing it.

Beijing 6th December

6th December, Saturday: Went to Qinghua University and Beida University today. Not too sure how to write it in Chinese but I think it should be 清华大学and 北大大学. Those are the 2 top universities and Beijing. We had a good tour of both universities because we have seniors there from Hwachong who went over to the universities. There were others from other Singapore schools that also helped to bring us around.

Went to qinghua university first and it was just as cold as the ;previous days. The wind was still strong and qinghua has many open areas which was obviously bad when we were walking around. I’m slowly getting used to the cold so I didn’t wear the cap today to cover my ears. It looks horrible and makes my hair stick up very weirdly so I rather leave it open. Although at the end I kind of regretted it I couldn’t even feel my ears or nose. Qinghua is a very very big university about 10 times the size of hwachong. And I thought Hwachong was already very big. There’s a big lake in the middle of the university too and it was so frozen up today that I experimented walking a few steps out onto the ice and there were no cracks at all. Didn’t dare to go any further because if it cracked I probably wouldn’t be alive anymore. Had a nice tour through the place. The university is really like a small town. I guess its close to being totally self-sufficient. Qinghua university even has a nuclear power plant inside…Seriously.

After we left qinghua, we went to beida university. Beida university is about one-third the size of qinghua but that is still huge. They say the things you have to see in beida university when you go there can be summarized in four words. Yi Ta Hu Tu. Lol its not the 一塌糊涂 meaning blur. Its 一塔湖图. Meaning the pagoda, the lake and the library. Beida university has a pagoda overlooking a huge lake..I think bigger than the one at qinghua and it looks more suitable for ice skating too. If there’s a chanced I really look quiet forward to ice skating. I really love ice skating but sadly I rarely get a chance to skate. That’s one of the things I’m really looking forward to. The lake is frozen and of course bigger than any of your manmade ice skating rinks :D

Went to zhong guan cun after that which is the equivalent of sim lim square of Singapore. You can get all the good computer stuff at great prices there. Didn’t buy anything though although I need a charger because I forgot all the specifications and I was thinking that I might be able to manage without it after all as more than one friend has compatible chargers with my laptop. Which is why I’m able to type out such long blog posts.

Ate out at a restaurant near our hostel and it is unbelievably cheap. After dividing everything up it only cost me 20 Yuan for the meal. A restaurant meal. Bought a ear muff too so in the future I don’t have to wear the retarded looking cap xD

Beijing 5th December

5th December: Went to the forbidden city today. We had only our Chinese cultural lessons today and guess what. I didn’t sleep this time :D After that left for 故宫，which is the forbidden city. Its still just as cold today but the forbidden city is definitely more important than the cold so I’ll post about the forbidden city first :p The forbidden city is huge with many many many huge empty spaces. Which is bad because it is so cold. When the wind blows u have no way of hiding. Felt totally frozen..perhaps even more that Wednesday because we still had shelter on Wednesday. We went to see many of the palaces. The place is really very well designed. The palaces all have such intricate designs it makes you wonder how much time and effort was taken to carve it all out. Especially with the kind of technology they had hundreds of years ago. Many of the things inside are made of gold too. Now I can understand why so much of the money could be used in the palace. After wondering around I managed to find a way up to the palace walls too. The steps are really interesting and its just like a straight slope with very very very small steps so it gives the friction to prevent ppl from falling. Palace walls give a good view of the forbidden palace but its not really very high. Raced Nick Sim up and won xD

Now about the cold. After descending the walls we went back over to the imperial gardens where the rest of them were and there was a pond there which was also frozen. Timothy Tay (the super strong gymnast) tried to break the ice again. He took a big stone and threw it with all his strength at the ice. 2 things happened. First, the stone hit the ice, CHIPPED it and bounced of. The ice didn’t break through, it just had a small portion chipped off so the water still wasn’t exposed. At the same time, timothy, carrying jonathan’s glove, also threw the glove along with the stone maybe because he threw it so hard. Lol someone should have taken a picture of jonathan’s expression. Luckily the ice didn’t break or his glove would hav gone down in the water. In he end after much distress (jonathan’s) and amusement (everyone else) a worker there took a very long stick and rescued his glove. The canal partially froze up today too.

Beijing 4th December

4th December, Thursday: As of today I will try to avoid repeating the normal things like rushing to school to be there by 7.30am. Went to the Beijing Zoo today. We didn’t have any lessons in the morning today as we had to rush off and instead of meeting in school we met at the lobby at 7.30am. Why the rush? The teachers told us pandas only move to eat in the morning, and then they sleep for the rest of the day. So we had to get there early in order to see them moving. Took a bus (public bus of course) down to the zoo which is just opposite the plaza we went to on Tuesday to buy the winter clothings. The pandas were really cute….and well…FAT. Shouldn’t be much off a surprise that simply eating and sleeping everyday makes them fat right? Haha but I they are really really cute. They way they move and sit down is very funny. Didn’t bring my camera so I don’t have the pictures to upload now but I’ll see if I can edit my posts n put the pictures in when I get back to Singapore. Yuna is already asking me for the pictures 0.o After that we went to the aquarium where we watched the seals and dolphins performing. Which inspired Oswald to want to be a dolphin rider. After all that guy who rode the dolphin like a skateboard is really damn cool. He just stood on the dolphin and the dolphin swam through the water so quickly and when he reached the edge he just jumped off and dived into the water. Another time he let the dolphin push him out from under the water and he flew out like 5 metres. Those dolphins are really super strong. I ate my nicest meal so far for lunch after that at 面爱面。 But it was very expensive at 23 bucks. That’s like usual Singapore price.

After that we went to the planetarium where we watched a 4D movie on how Galileo invented the telescope. Didn’t really get much of it cos a lot of the terms are in Chinese…but for the most part because I fell asleep lol.

Today is also the coldest day since I’ve been in Beijing. I was wondering whether I should post about the zoo first all the cold, because both were equally memorable. It was so cold that after just 5 min outside I had to find shelter to warm up. In the end I gave up but almost froze to death. The wind was grade 6 today. So strong that it can even cause u to walk diagonally when you were actually walking straight. It’s the wind that really kills. Temperature went below negative today and the water partially froze. But the ice is still really thin and we had fun smashing the ice by just putting a little weight on it.

Beijing 3rd December

I have decided to keep a day to day update now since there are so many interesting . Beijing is turning out to be really fun and nicer than I expected. Maybe that is because I came here with an open mind but in any case, I am totally enjoying my experience here so far. My previous post the other day was about my first 2 days, Monday and Tuesday in Beijing. Haven’t really had the chance to update until now but I can still type in Microsoft word and upload when I’m in school and have internet :D

3rd December, Wednesday: Like any usual weekday, we have to wake up early. We had Chinese cultural class for the first time today in the morning in 二附中. That’s how every weekday is going to be but for the first 2 weeks we still have trips out in the morning and afternoon so we don’t have to sit in for the boring lessons everyday. Haha the we usually have 1h30min of cultural lessons during the weekdays and they teach us Chinese literature and Chinese history..all he dynasties and stuff. It can be quite interesting, if I can stay awake that is xD I stayed awake until after the 1st hour which was the literature part. Then I slept in the history half. After that we went to the exhibition centres to see the architecture layout of Beijing. Theres a building where we actually can see the whole of Beijing in that small structure form. Those kind of mini structures that they always have at the show house of flats..If you get what I mean. Its like a 3D map of Beijing with actual structures sticking out the the ground. Except that they are just in small form. Its very updated too and I can even see the Bird Nest Stadium and Water Cube there. After that we went back on the bus. I don’t think I mentioned so far but we actually take public transport everywhere. Its actually quite interesting. It makes you feel like you are actually part of the place, and not just a tourist. Went back and still had time so played basketball for awhile. Its really cold here and my stamina sucks because the cold freezes up your lungs. But still had fun playing. I have only one thing to say after playing with those local students. Their basketball is gay. Had our night study session for the first time today too. Supposed to study English online. But I didn’t of course and somehow ended up gaming in class. Sean, Oswald, 2 St Nicholas girls and me are sitting at one table together. Found out their names today after daoing them for uhh 2 days? I didn’t say I knew how to spell the names though. Lol so im not going to post that.

China - Beijing

I'm in beijing now staying with one of the top schools here now and its really turning out to be quite fun. Reach here ytd but only managed to use my laptop now because the dorm doesnt have internet access and only can access internet when im in the school itself. So for some reason we are being given time to use our com now and thats why i can blog. Expect more posts from me this 6 weeks while im there cos blogging is only interesting when u have interesting things to blog about.

The moment we got out of the airport ytd I could immediately sense the difference in the air quality. The air there is much more polluted there and no matter where you are as long as you are outdoors you can smell some smoke smell. But its not as bad as I thought because the smoke smell doesnt exactly choke you. Not difficult to breathe if you get what I mean. The weather there is really nice at 12degrees yesterday. It went down to 8 degrees today but its still nice. Now is just the starting of winter so its going to slowly get colder and colder. I'll still be there during the coldest part of the winter so I hope it wont be too bad.

I'm enjoying my stay so far although there have been some minor hiccups like realising I didnt bring my laptop charger but most of it is going well. The dorm we are staying in is quite crammed with 6 people in one small room but its actually quite fun because we ended up playing dota after setting up a LAN network xD Some of us are really quite tired today including me after sleeping so late. We're given quite a lot of freedom over here and during weekends we can go anywhere we want to without teacher supervision.

We are wearing their school uniform so we really blend in quite well. Well..at least until I open my mouth. HAHA but i shall brush up my beijing accent over the six weeks so that I can fully blend in with them. Definitely going to improve my chinese here :D

If i can i will upload photos too but I dont think there will be many pictures as my internet here is not that fast so it will take too long. But i'll post the really nice ones once we go sightseeing

Kind of free now. So instead of playing dota, i'll spend some time typing out a post.

Got my results back and its not so good as previous years. But its also expected as I obviously spent much les time revising this year for exams. Still alright though, as this year isnt the crucial year yet. On the bright side, overall results were still better than my worse-case scenario..although I only had 1 pathetic A1 when i expected at least 2. Still, nothing below B3 which is good :D So my mean subject grade was 2.25 in the end. Not too bad considering how much I studied, or rather, did not study, this year xD

Chem: A1
English: A2- seriously expected an A1..
Higher Chinese: B3
Physics: A2
Integrated Maths: A2
Integrated Humanities: B3

Training is back to four times a week now and its really tiring. Somehow i seem to be enjoying it more than last time. Probably because the assistant coache left and I dont like him lol. I'm trying very hard to go for all four trainings but its kind of difficult cause sometimes I just feel so tired and end up sleeping in. Luckily, I'm going to china in december so I just have to train hard for this one month then I can take a good long six week break in china where I (unfortunately?) cannot train there as it is -7 degrees and any pond or lake would have frozen. According to my friend we can still play basketball though and that will be really fun. Havent had a chance to play bball for quite a long time already since school term ended. My holidays are boring with so many trainings and all but hopefully it will be fun in china.

I only have chinese paper 2 left so my exams r kind of over tmr. Yay! Public holiday tmr :D Going for my cousin's wedding too so i can enjoy nice food tmr xD

My maths paper today is super screwed. But im not really sad anyway, cause when i did the practice papers i already know im screwed. So after the exam i already know i cant get anything better than a B4 cause i have 39 marks out of 100 gone le.

my blog is dead. But then i dunno why but i just feel like posting this. take note-this isnt a revival of my blog of anything of that sort. That...will be decided later if i have the time and motivation :D

This years EOY exams is so weird. I feel like a total slacker. I have absolutely no mood to study cause it doesnt even feel like exams. To be honest, i forced myself to study, but then i started like 3 days before the exams? Lol and i dont feel stressed at all. But i just know im going to regret it after i get my results back. Oh well, at least got exemption for chem so thats one less subject to screw up.

Quite funny really, cause in sec 1 and sec 2 i screwed up my tests continuously and then mugged like siao for EOYs. This year didnt exactly screw my tests up although it wasnt exceptionally good either. But much better than previous years. But im super slack during EOYs and since EOY take up 50% of my final grade, i think i am not going to do so well.

Still hope i dont lose my 1.something grade which i have been getting since sec 1. That will be so 自卑 =.= And therefore, my most likely scenario which i also hope is similar to the real thing when it comes out..:

Maths(2 subject grades): A1
English: A1
Chinese: A2
Chemistry: A1(already confirmed since i got my exemption which i am so proud of :p)
Physics: A2
IH(2 subject grades): B3
EP: A1

So...that will make...Oh MY... 1.67!!! (this still sucks compared to sec 1 and sec 2)

But nvm if i can get like that i will be contented le. I so slack this year, so cant aim too high or i will be more disappointed later..

Wow thats one long post. But my blog deserves it since i abandoned it for so long already xD

Its been a long time since a long time i posted. A long time since i had time to post. Finally odyssey of the mind is over. Tee structure, 135kg. highest weight. But disqualified cause it was 0.3cm too small. It was a good experience. Took up alot of time but at least we did well, even if we didnt win. We know we could have won and we did our best, so thats wad matters. Next year, we'll come back and make sure those acsi judge cant find any fault with us anymore(like 0.3cm too small and get disqalified =.=) then we'll win :D

its been fun, but now its time to get back on track with all my unfinished homework...and of course training which i skipped for i think 3 weeks. time to catch up with everything. The stress is really starting to get to me. during the slack period, we chiong so hard for om, then when om finish its the test period and can slack already..

OMG SHIT I JUST REALISED I FORGOT TO BID FOR SABBACTICALS!! the stress is really getting to me...so much homework to complete..and tests r here already but i havent even studied...

oh man... i have spent last week and last last week chionging om. And its still not done yet. Burned 2 weekends liao. And not to mention almost everyday after sch too. really hope we can do well for this. haha i would post the pictures here. But then i scared someone go copy the design which is a damn zai design designed by me of course :D

So i'll only post it after the competition is over, which I think we really have a good chance of winning. Win liao then can go US. Free somemore. So must win lah. We already put in so much effort into this, so of course must win. Lol then go US for the world championships and become world champion also. So cool. Better not think so far later never win then damn dissapointed. haha but i think seriously got chance to win...

Got into EP, so i'll be changing class to 3E1. So i'll not longer be in 3P2. Its been fun with you guys, cause u guys all r really cool ppl. I'll definitely miss 3p2. Especially ppl like stanley, nick sim, zhi hao and of course the fun and laughter we had together. And of course Josh Lim and his jokes :D I'm leaving 3p2 now, but it was really fun while it lasted.

Onto a new class now, in cse. Hope it will be good XD

I wanted to post this on friday. But didnt have time to post it until now. Hahaha. Model ASEAN Summit was really qute fun. Its not really totally like a conference, or else maybe will be a bit boring. Chong yee, zi cong, kevin, hakim, jessline, vany, wendell, david, joel and me. We make up the Myanmar delegation. Then we had the placards with the word 'Myanmar' that we were suppsoed to raise when we wanted to give comments or stuff. Our placards got multiliated in the end. Acy wrote China on the other side of the card. Then he keep raising the wrong side with the word China on it. Then another guy put united states of america and USSR. Then the chair keep saying china, russia and US are not recognized in ASEAN. LOL. David even better. He wrote 'Monks go Home' on the other side of the placard. Which is damn funny cause we were representing myanmar. Then chong yee got damn pissed with the person representing the indonesian press from hcis. So he cancelled wad david wrote and changed it to HCIS(indonesian press) Go Home.

The cross country results are released liao. Damn sad lah. If i was like 11 seconds faster i would have gotten medal for the individual race le. And i found out i was 12th =.= and 10th position get medal. Like wth... and if i was 30 seconds faster i would have been 5th. lol cause everyone last part overtake me. I must go train more. Then next year can win liao. I'm already very close. Cant let that chance slip by again in the last 300m like this year D:

I'm quite happy about my results. I mean...i have never gotten this kind of results before 0.o seriously. my msg is usually 3-4 during common tests. But this time i actually managed to get MSG of 2.25. Only reason im not very very happy is because my msg could have been 1.75 if i didnt get a C6 for goeg -.- its going to look very ugly in my report. Like all As and then one C6. lol. But still havent got results for english yet. I think should be able to get A1 or A2 for english also. So migh be able to pull it down to 2.1 i guess. BUT STILL 1. something looks ALOT NICER than 2.something. Even if it is 2.1. ~GEOG C6........!!!~ WHY!!??

EH i see the connection. Both my cross country and MSG miss by just a little bit =.= i'm wondering. Are my expectations too high? Nah, dont think so :D

Model ASEAN summit actually quite fun nia. Then yesterday during the press conference the press team from Indonesia niao us then we not prepared so cant niao back. Today we expected it already. So when she try to niao the Myanmar team we niao her very badly liao, then the Laos team also come and help us niao, then even the director also niao. Lol i pity that Indonesia press person. Haiz why she so stupid to try to attack us, again. Myanmar team very charismatic so got alot of support mah XD

I am going to be the only one posting on this blog for one week. Cause the other person is in obs now. I'm like very worried about my results now -.- got 5 A2s and 1 A1 and one C6 :( actually its very good without the C6 lah but my last 2 subjects r the ones with problems. At least 1 of them is. argh i really regret taking LEP. In the end instead of improving my chinese the language elective programme is just going to screw up my results. Oh gosh... i really hope i dont fail it or else my nice MSG will be gone liao. Lol if IHC and IHE are considered as one subject its not so bad actually. And i hope its that way. Cause i the C6 i got is for IHE and if its considered as one subject on its own then my msg become 2.43 liao from 1.88. At least if ihc and ihe= 1 subject then it wills till be 2.1. Hahaha i have become a mugger. I actually went to appeal for cse, but dunno whether can get in or not lah. I guess if lep screws up my results further then cant go liao. So im hoping for the best.

This week is sabbactical week and im taking that model asean summit thing. I hope its fun lah. Seems to be alright the first day. I'm really not sure whether i should have taken fencing instead. I didnt know oswald and jingkai both inside fencing or else i would have probably chosen fencing. But the food they give in the asean summit damn lousy nia. If i got choice i wont eat there. Not that the food quality sucks lah. Just that got too little, then so many ppl have to share such a small amount. Wah then so hungry after that. haiz im so sian now.....

Today is 29 feb!! so cool. Once every four years only so today must post.

Cross country was really fun. I ran in the competitive run. But didnt have time to post about it only now. The run was cut short cause the rain lol. So from 4.3km become 2.8km. So short like not even cross country at all lor. Somehow i ran damn fast, then second round i was 4th. Then i was so sure i'll get top 10 le. Then 3rd round 8 ppl overtake me T.T damn sad lor. Its like only at the last 300m then i from 4th drop to 12th. Trackers all chiong so fast at the last part. But i feel quite happy that i still beat some trackers, and only lost to 2 non-trackers or cross country ppl. Quite a big improvement from sec 1.

Only the top 10 get medal so i didnt get for that but then theres also the team catgory. They only take the scores of the 6 competitive runners in each class. Where like 1st postition=1 point and 2nd position=2nd point then the team with the lowest point win. Then my class got 1st! Cause our postition is like 2nd,5th,10th,11th,12th and 20something. Other class maybe only got 1 person in top 10 then the rest all 20 or 30 something. So i got the damn nice medal.

Its like damn cool lah. I feel so proud and happy getting this. But of course its our whole team's effort. 3P2 rocks. Congrats guys! :D :D :D

Exams are over, and i have been so busy playing dota and halo that i have not had the chance to post. But now, here it is. Something important enough for me to give up 30min of playing time, to post. Or rather, flame.

We changed our canoeing coach. Then we changed our venue. From Macritchie, to Kallang. Macritchie, a reservoir where we get our drinking water from. Kallang, the place where all our dirty water goes.

So now, a case study of both places:

Macritchie

1)Nearer for most people, travelling time cut down by alot, leaving time to do homework after getting back home

2) Clean water! Yes we can even drink direct, and not fall sick

3)Near to school. People who have events after sch still can go to training easily

Kallang

1)Far far away. For most people at least. Needless to say, no time to do homework, Except if we stay up till 12 midnight or later.

2)Erm...i wish i could say it was dirty water, but it wouldnt suffice. Its shit water.

3)Far away from sch, and we take a chartered bus there. Wasting school money and deterring people frm going there if they have events after school that cause them to miss the chartered bus

I started off the day so well. I left my house early. Thinking that i would reach school 10minutes before flag raising, and not have to run. Then, it rained. Nothing wrong with that, Except that we got stupid rules in school saying that when it rains, u have to be in school by 7.35am. just 10min after the usual time.

Did no one realise that with the rain it actually jams for 30min? i am not exxagerating at all. i was stuck around coronation in the bus, moving a few metres every 5 minutes. Stupid rules, ncc ppl who blindly uphold them.

And as a result, so many innocent people who would have been on time, became late. I am seriously considering posting on the psb. Yeah.

Oswald and Jingkai set a record today. Late for 4 classes. Oswald is really influencing Jk with his blurness.

First, Physics. They came in 20min late and apparently they lost their way to the basement at src despite having been there before. Actually they didnt do their work so they intended to do in class and come late and just say they lost their way. However after finishing their work in classroom, they proceeded to src and promptly lost their way, resulting in them being even later.

Following physics, we had maths. oswald and JK went missing again. Then finally lum bin called oswald under request from Mrs Khoo. Apparently, thy thought it was recess and went for recess. They came back 20min late again and somehow lied their way through.

Then after our real recess we had Infocomm Studies. Needless to say, they were late again.

Geogrpahy lesson after IS. LATE again.

As the first time i beat oswald 1v1 in dota. That is something i can be proud of. Cause i didnt counter him too. A fair 1v1 dota match. For the first time, (excluding the first time oswald played dota) i beat oswald. And i got him pissed too. Wow. Today is a good day.

And i still remember the first time i play dota with oswald. I managed to beat him. But that was only the first time. I started playing first also... so nothing great. Then after that oswald beat me continuously. First it was close then he started owning me.

Finally.

Today, I can say I owned oswald.

This seems to be a stupid post. But after getting owned for 1 whole year, it means alot to get revenge =) .

The unbelieveable thing has happened. I-Hanger is actually shortlisted for grand finals! Amazing. We beat mark tern's group also. Mark ah last year u complained so much that u had 2 slackers in ur group. Now the slackers beat u. I thought ur idea this year was good too. But i cant believe we r actually so close in going grand finals. Only 2 ppl from each category shortlisted for grand finals so we do have a good chance of getting in. Really really hope that we get in. Its so damn hard to get into grand finals and if we get in its such an honour.

Not forgetting the prize too... We might never get so close again. We have to get in.

Went to watch a play on ong teng cheong on saturday. After the play it was already 9 plus and dark, and oswald wanted to wander around the school. Jing kai went with him but me and zq didnt go cuse we didnt want to get backstabbedd by oswald and i hadnt eaten dinner yet. So oswald went around looking for ghosts but he didnt find any. Nor did they find him. Blended in too well i guess.

My first not lame post following all those lame posts. Today was PT test and i didnt screw it! Julian said today that u either screw ur studies or canoeing. I find that really true. Last time when my studies were better, my canoeing wasnt screwed. Now my canoeing is better but my studies r going down the drain. Well.. at least its better than at the start of sec 1 when i screwed both canoeing and studies.

Back to the PT test. I didnt screw it cause i met all my targets and improved. I brought my time of the 3.3km run down from 14m39s to 14m15s. And i did 18 pullups, improving 3 from the previous 15. but for some reason i am unable to do 18 pull ups on normal training. Lol.. Like i take drugs like that..

PT test os this thursday. Throughout the holiday i have been telling yself to train but in the end all I did were some miserable pushups. Lol this is pathetic. A pure show of how weak my mental strength is. Everytime i decide to train, something will 'crop' up and i will decide not to train. Haiz. So what have i accomplished? Lol.

Tmr I have to go for some RI-HCI soccer shield. To me its crap. Dear soccer fanatics of HCI and RI. Why do u have to compete with each other? Why cant u just play a decent game in ur own sch? Now I have to go down and support u. Oh man. I have better things to do like train, or do my long overdue IS assignment, then go down to support ur match. However it is compulsory and have no chioce. Tests have arrived alredy... a bad start with my maths getting C5 but that was because I didnt study. From maths onwards seems to be good but havent taken back results yet. I think i did well with the exception of chinese compo. That one mug like hell also no use.

And PT today. Wow my running improved alot thanks to the running on treadmills. I seemed to have improved about almost 1min. Ran a 3.3km run today in 14min31sec. Then I set my personal best for my pull ups too. The new training plan seems to be helping. :D

More tests again tmr, my pop quiz and the chinese test I missed. Lit test is on friday but I someone took my emily of emerald hill from under my desk while i was absent last week and sick. Dunno how to study without the book...

Nothing much to blog about now...i am damn stressed and tired again. Tests all here and more coming and got so much stuff to do.. fortunately no canoeing for the time being.

There isnt much to blog about.. So i'll just blog about oswald in a K1. I took a K1 for the first time after about 8 months. And to my surprise my balance was so much better. Oswald took a K1 for his first time and he filled his boat half full with water to make it more stable. And half the K1 full plus his immense weight almost caused the boat to sink. SINK. But it paid off and he only capsized twice. Thats considerably good caue when most ppl take K1 for the first time they capsize at least 4 times.

Still, sinking is traumatic. =)

Canoeing Nationals 2007- OWNED

Sure, oswald slowed down close to the end. But still not as bad as me right?

I STOPPED. I stopped st the 2nd last buoy. All because I thought it was the last buoy. Yeah sure my vision was blur and i was dizzy. but the buoy is quite big... I dunno why i thought i was the last buoy too.

And so, I was first with a slight lead. But after stopping, i lost that 1 feet lead and dropped to 3rd place. Luckily i was owning the 4th an 5th guys alot so i still got 3rd and qualified to semis.

However, I chionged so much in the first race as i was aiming to get first and go straight finals. So when i didnt get1st and had to go for semis, I wasnt on form anymore. This time I fought as hard as i could and didnt stop but i got 5th, 2nd last, and didnt qualify for finals...

And that marked the end of the Canoeing Nationals 2007 for me.

Today during maths class there was this teacher from another consortium that came over to just observe. I have no idea why but oswald being random today. He slept at chinese class by pretending to read a chinese paper and at the same time covering his face. Nothing relaly unusualy about that. But I have many pictures lol.

During maths peroid which is the next peroid nick heng and me were listening to class when suddenly oswald shouted BOO!!

Everyone just stared at him including the other maths teacher from the other consortium. Then mrs khoo asked him if he took his medication yet. LOL. The she said in our class there r some black sheep and nick heng and me couldnt stop laughing, as it sounded like black shit. And oswald is also known as blackie... I think he was actually trying to scare nick heng who was sitting right beside him.

Youth Day-continued

This is wad happened on youth day.

First I went to macritchie at 7.50am for our first bedok exercise. The competitoin is held at bedok so we have to practice there too. We carried all the boats into the lorries. Following that we took a 45 seater bus to bedok. Reached at around 10.30am. After that we did some practice to get used to the water.

WE also had lunch there after the 6km practice. Then we went to play at the bedok playground for half an hour cause very sian. And oswald proved he is the heaviest after sitting on the see saw which no one could press down. Even jeremy from j1 also lighter than him.

So we had one more race. And after that we just slack more. We left bedok at 5pm. WE reached macrithie at 5.54pm We were actually suppsoed to leave lastest 6.30pm. Hoever we waited at macrichie as not all the lorries carrying our boats had returned from bedok yet.

We waited, waited, waited, waited ,waited and waited.

Then we realised the bedok group had only put the last boat up the lorry at 6.50pm. I simply cant imagine how they became so slow. But anyway by that time it was getting dark. By 7.15pm it was absolutely dark. Shui Kun being guai lan as usual wanted to bash the movers when they came. Then he remembered they were all indians. He shouted "Oh no we can't fight them they got advantage sia!"

They finally came at 7.50pm. I guess I can say everyone was pissed. Some ppl also had tet the next day. So I left at 8pm.

This concludes my youth day. Kind of lame.

Oswald isn't shrinking

Today we had our height and weight taking. Oswald has been complaining for 2 months already that he is shrinking. So oswald took his height and weight. He also claimed he lost weight. His height was 174cm and his weight 7*kg. (weight has been censored to protect the privacy of the fat oswald) Apparently neither his height or weight had changed.

Oswald is depressed now because I told him once you stop growing you won't start again. And he is scolding wenshen too cause wenshen doesnt drink milk but is taller than oswald, about 180cm, and still growing.

Oswald has also stopped niaoing me about my height. Perhaps because he is starting to get worried that i will be doing that to him one day. I have grown 3 more cm! My growth is slowing down which is very sad. But I still think I can reach 174cm.

Went to sentosa on friday with zone f from lum bin's church. Yeahh it was fun. Oswald went too. I got a bruise on my nose to show for it now. Where oswald threw the ball at my face. Haha. But thats part of the fun I guess. Oswald kept playing in the water but I didnt cause I didnt bring any thigns to shower. But anyway I dont like swimming :) Oswald and me tried playing volleyball and we both realised we were so good we couldn't hit to each other more than 2 times. And i tried something i saw other ppl do and resulted in me getting sand in my eyes.

It is the last day of holidays now. My holiday feels so short cause of canoeing. But I guess it will be worth it if I can win the competition. I have neglected my homework. It is 10.40pm now and I am still chionging homework. I think I shall sleep really late tonight.

Or get pwned by a great number of teachers tmr... i shall try to lower the number. Theres no way I can finish all of my homework now. haha but holidays are meant for relaxing after all...

Its the last week of holidays and i'm screwed. Haven't even started any homework yet. I think I better start now. Or else I'm going to have to chiong like hell on saturday and sunday. I am starting to get less and less enthu for canoeing training already. Now don't feel like going for extra trainng already. Well..I am going to enjoy the last week of my holidays..Or regret it

First Jing Kai came up with RMT. Now Oswald comes up with a RJT. No. I am not going to come up with a *removed*. It can actually be read out. But no I am not going to come up with that. I have mentioned before that I think flaming is downright disgusting. Seeing Oswald's flaming again wiped out all thoughts of apologising for throwing the mat at him. Take note that I did not smash it on his face.

Oh yeah and one more thing.

Good luck in popularising the term RJT Oswald.

Red Rain

Yesterday I went to lum bin and qi fan's church to watch the christian band Red Rain. Lum Bin invited me so i went with him, nick heng and oswald. The concert was held in lum bin's church itself. Seriously I think his church is damn cool. It has all the proper lightings and audio stuff to make it like a rock concert hall. The rock concert was really good. This is actually the first rock concert i have attended. But i'm guessing the only part that made it different from a normal rock concert was that this is a christian rock concert.

So with all the jumping around and shouting.... I was tired. But i survived. With glucolin! Glucose=energy... Lol

I think the only thing I kept is my tagboard. Might get a proper skin after I find one but for the time being I'll just use this one. Spent 3 hrs on this cause haven't tried blogging with the new blogger. Last time I was using the classic mode so had to familiarise myself. Please tell me if there r any broken links. thx! This is my new blog. Please relink. Changed my blog cause the I wanted to change almost everything so might as well start from scratch.
